Improving Patient Safety & Quality Outcomes: The Project RED Solution

Project RED is an evidence-based solution which transforms transitions of care, improves patient satisfaction, increases staff satisfaction, improves patient outcomes, and reduces rehospitalization by over 20% while lowering costs. These benefits come from integrating simple, evidence-based processes into the transitional workflows of hospitals and clinics around the world.

Hospital discharges are a critical transition, often riddled with poor communication, inadequate patient / family education, and high rates of readmission. The irregular, non-standardized nature of these discharges drives untoward patient complications, increasing dissatisfaction and healthcare costs. Improving Project RED’s thirteen (13) key aspects of communication in the transition of care process measurably and significantly decreases many problems, including rehospitalization.

This webinar: (1) introduces the evidence-base for, and concepts of Project RED, (2) reviews the Project RED checklist, (3) describes the transitions of care transformations that result in measurable change, and (4) outlines the steps to implementation with Project RED Solutions.

Moderator: Ms. Elizabeth Ziemba, President of Medical Tourism Training and member of the Project RED Solutions team.

Presenter: Mr. Irving Stackpole, President of Stackpole & Associates and member of the Project RED Solutions team.
